Job Summary:
As an Inside Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the development of business partnerships between Cardinal Logistics and small to mid-size shippers. In this role, you will be tasked with gaining a deep understanding of a prospects supply chain and bring to the table strategic solutions in collaboration with Branch Level Leadership as well as the Pricing and Procurement teams. The goal is to establish a newly formed partnership with the customer and increase wallet share by broadening and strengthening our overall relationship. You will gain deep understandings of the businesses we manage at all levels—from tactical to strategic—in order to deliver a value based solutions to potential customers. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Inside Sales.
Essential Functions:
Development and maintain a consistent opportunity pipeline for the purpose of increasing business for Cardinal Logistics.
Build a profitable book of business by generating and developing new business opportunities
Represent and sell the entire Cardinal portfolio to your customers and seek to grow Cardinal’s overall wallet share of their logistics spend.
Perform a consistent and thorough Needs Assessment in order to be able to properly deliver value to current and potential Cardinal Logistics customers.
Maintain and grow knowledge of current market conditions while serving as a consultative source to customers.
Collaborate with Branch Level leadership to identify key internal stakeholders to be able to execute on daily management of the business.
Collaborate with Pricing and Procurement to deliver solutions to the client that will add value into their supply chain.
Understand and effectively navigate customers' supply chain process while building relationships and partners in positions that directly or indirectly influence the supply chain process.
Maintain daily outbound engagement whether by phone, video, or face to face meetings with prospective clients to develop a robust sales pipeline.
