Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. As a Cashier/Stocker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring the store shelves are well-stocked and organized. Duties:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring proper product placement
- Assist customers in locating products and answering any inquiries they may have
- Perform inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels
- Receive shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders
- Unload, unpack, and label incoming merchandise
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate pricing and product placement
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
Skills:
- Warehouse operations knowledge
- Experience working with produce is a plus
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Stocking experience in a retail setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in multiple languages (multilingual/bilingual)
- Ability to package items securely for customers' convenience
- Strong selling skills to promote additional products or services
