Position Title: Sales Representative
Reporting to: Director of Sales & Marketing
Location: Olney, IL or Remote in IL, IN, MO, KY
Status: Exempt (Salary plus commission)
Job Purpose: US Weight has three fitness brands (US Weight Fitness, Lifeline Fitness, and The Step) that offer a large fitness assortment. Lifeline Fitness has been a leader in the fitness industry for over 50 years. We’re looking for a Sales Representative to join our team that has a passion for fitness, building customer relationships and achieving sales goals selling quality fitness products.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed annual and monthly sales goals
- Manages and develops long-term relationships with assigned customers
- Identifies prospective customers, schedules meetings and presentations with prospects
- Communicates proactively with customers to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
- Use reporting to analyze opportunities within the territory
- Present products, negotiate the deal and close the sale
- Collaborates with management regarding new product ideas
- Responds to dealer and consumer inquires based on acquired product knowledge
- Resolves customer requests regarding product issues, shipment issues, and parts requests
- Works with customer service to process customer credit requests (return authorizations and deductions)
- Communicates identified product situations to proper internal departments
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2 years consumer products selling experience (fitness or sporting goods preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Passionate about fitness
- Demonstrates proven sales track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Possesses a high degree of motivation and drive for results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical Demands
- Sitting, talking and listening at least 2/3 of the time
- Lifting up to 55 pounds
- Fine motor coordination
Working Conditions
- Office environment
- Up to 20% domestic travel required to meet customers, attend trade shows, and visit the corporate office
