SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a part-time Case Manager to visit families twice a week in a pre-screened home setting to model and reinforce positive interaction between the child and the parent/caregiver. The Case Manager works with families, caregivers, and communities to support early literacy, school readiness, and early opportunities.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a minimum of 16 hours of training delivered by the Program Coordinator prior to beginning home visits.
• Visit with families in the family’s home on a twice-weekly basis, demonstrating reading, play, and verbal interaction behaviors with two- and three-year-old children and the parent or primary caretaker.
• Complete required paperwork on a weekly basis.
• Attend and participate in weekly supervisory meetings, staff meetings, individual supervisions, and training, as is required.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree in a human services field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least 1 year of prior experience working with young children and parents in a community-based organization required. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the community being served.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, required.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality required.

Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, including knowing when to seek help, required.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Travel is required.
