As a dispatcher, with our company, you will work with our operation and terminal managers to coordinate pick-up and deliveries for our asset-based trucking company. In this role, you will help communicate with our drivers on pick-ups, deliveries, detention, tardiness, etc. You will also monitor and update driver files and proper licensing/ permits for our trucks, schedule meantime for all trucks and trailers, record any incidents and accidents of the drivers and attend bi-annual safety meetings.

Experience in the freight industry is recommended and preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or driver issues;
• Reschedule trips as necessary in the event of vehicle malfunction, traffic, or emergencies;
• Monitor operators and trip status, making adjustments and reassignments as necessary to ensure on-time performance;
• Maintain two-way communication with drivers and customers on various platforms, providing information on customers, cancellations, and directional assistance where necessary;

• Helping to ensure on-time performance is achieved
• Answering phone calls promptly and professionally
• Provide accurate and detailed trip data to the Drivers
• Entering loads into Transportation Management Software
• Updating customers on the status of shipments, and assisting with other inquiries
• Planning loads
• Coordinates with vendors for equipment repairs
• Additional duties as assigned by the Operations or Terminal Manager

Requirements:

• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environments;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be self-motivated, independent, and success-oriented
• Well-organized
• One year experience in a dispatcher or brokerage role involving DOT/FMCSA requirements for Class A CDL drivers (tractor-trailers) in the trucking industry is preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, customer relations, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Windows applications
• Proficiency with and knowledge of trucking safety regulations, including ELD systems, hours of service, and CDL driver qualifications is preferred
• Experience working with Transportation Management software, specifically Prophecy or TMW is preferred
• Familiar with the different load boards EX: DAT, Sylectus, XPO, Carter, etc. preferred
• Well-organized with the ability to set and execute priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional conduct in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• HS Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Pay: $37,500.00 - $45,000.00 per hour
