Dispatcher coordinates drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions and relay delivery status to customers. Being a Dispatcher records driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data in a computer database to track metrics. Ensures drivers are compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Additionally, Dispatcher requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Dispatcher works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Dispatcher typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. - Dispatch ambulances and wheelchair vans. Coordinate scheduled transports.
- Monitor and track units and keep them on schedule.
- Chart review for quality assurance.
- Communicate with drivers, facilities and patients regarding delays etc.
- Handle inquiries and investigate or report any issues or complaints related to transportation services
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant databases
- Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations and meet customer expectations
- Utilize GPS technology to track vehicles, schedule trips and monitor real-time traffic conditions
- Coordinate with fleet management to schedule vehicle maintenance and repairs

```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or EMS provider
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation management principles
- Proficiency in using Google Sheets, CAD systems, and Zoll EMScharts OR computer literacy sufficient to learn these systems.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Familiarity with GIS and GPS technology
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using phone systems and typing accurately
