We are recruiting Learning Coaches for the 2024-2025 school year. The Learning Coach facilitates student success and coaches students on how to get the most of their online education. Learning Coaches support teachers and provide students with individual guidance, clarity, and reteaching of important concepts in education to promote their individual success.

Essential Functions:

· Provides ongoing academic support, guidance and motivation

· Keeps students on track with coursework and attendance; redirects students to schoolwork when distractions arise

· Supports growth towards individual learning

· Develops and sharpens time management skills

· Checks for understanding

· Reteaches skills and concepts

· Guides students through lessons and the concepts being taught

· Assists with interactive classroom tools

· Ensures all course components are being completed with fidelity (individual reading, practice activities)

· Communicates with Special Education teacher and Regular Education teachers regularly

· Provides Special Education teacher with monthly summary of sessions and input for IEP meetings

· Provides consistent 1:1 sessions with students though online meetings

Education Level:

● High School graduate; Associate’s degree preferred

● Paraprofessional experience, a plus

Experience:

● Demonstrated experience which indicates strong interpersonal skills

● Experience in education preferred

● Experience with Google Suite preferred

This position is based in the Pittsburgh area and our staff must commit to working onsite three days a week.
