Assistant Warehouse Manager – Springfield, MO

TORQ Distribution, a highly professional Sales and Distribution company, has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, high-energy individual for the position of Assistant Warehouse Manager in Springfield, MO

The main duties of this position will include:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining efficient distribution activities
• Ensure consistent adherence to all logistical processes
• Receive, place and process incoming inventory as required in a weekly distribution cycle
• Keep detailed records of product movement in order to facilitate proper inventory control
• Utilize our ERP system to manage all product movement and manage workflow
• Process, package and ship orders accurately
• Deliver products to local customers as needed
• Place internal and external clients first in all daily activities
• Cycle count inventory on a monthly basis
• Abide by all company safety regulations
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Able prioritize and handle multiple tasks at a time
• Other projects as assigned

Skills that will be required to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Warehouse and inventory control procedures/software experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Possess current forklift license/certification, or able to obtain within 30 days
• Team player with organizational skills
• Professional integrity and dependability with a high level of respect for all individuals
• Goal / Results Oriented - ability to set high reaching goals and achieve results
• Self-starter - minimal supervision required
• Comfortable working in a small, fast paced, team environment and an entrepreneurial business setting

Physical Demands

• Regularly walk the warehouse, climb in and out of delivery vans, and use hand tools to perform necessary equipment maintenance
• Will be required to obtain items both high and low
• Regularly lift and/or move heavy items
• Ability to focus and see at distance and up close

Hourly: $20 - $21 per hour (depending on experience)
