SUMMARY

Supervises the daily activities of personnel engaged in shipping, receiving, picking, packing and order processing of the Dublin Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach 10-30 employees to reach daily production goals
• Organize team and delegate tasks appropriately to meet deadlines.
• Build a top performing distribution team and instill a culture of accountability, results and flexibility in order to meet/exceed customer fulfillment expectations.  
• Provide safety and job skills training as necessary and monitor safety issues throughout the warehouse.
• Establishes individual department objectives and coaches employees to reach their respective productivity goals and inventory accuracy goals. 
• Drive operational excellence and best practices across the distribution network to reduce cost.  
• Consistently meet daily customer fulfillment objectives in a high mix/high volume environment. 
• Follow and enforce established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and inventory control standards. 
• Act as back-up to cover responsibilities within the Distribution team as requested. 
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 
• Approve and maintain Kronos time punches.

Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Ability to effectively manage a group of  hourly associates performing multiple duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with superiors and other departments.
• Knowledge of PkMS warehouse management system, Essentus, WMOS and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of basic warehousing and inventory control procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success. 
• Capacity to build relationships and develop people. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position requires the normal demands of any job, such as sitting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, walking, talking and hearing.
• Position requires ability to drive a forklift, and be certified for it, and also to lift boxes of around 25 pounds each.
• Activities of this job require working overtime often, and especially long hours at month end. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse environment, which can be quite noisy, and warm with no air conditioning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering or Management/Experience in lieu of Degree
• Minimum of 2-5 years in a manufacturing / warehousing environment.
