Distribution Center Team Member (3rd Shift $2/HR)

Available Positions: Truss Assembler, Warehouse Team Member (Forklift Operator), & Yardhorse Driver - No Experience Necessary! Paid Training!

Schedule:

3rd: 10:30PM - 7:00AM - Sunday -Thursday Night - Full-Time ($23.05/HR) * Includes shift premium

Flexible part-time scheduling available as well.

Position Profile: (Truss Assembler) 10:30PM - 7AM, Sunday - Thursday

Truss Assembler Team Members work efficiently, in a safe manner, maintain high quality standards, and help to ensure that guest expectations are met. Positions include forklift operation, machine operation, and product assembly. There are many advancement opportunities to move into leadership positions and grow with the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Various types of manual labor as required by type of plant.

· Assemble trusses by putting together precut lumber.

· Operate presses, pneumatic guns, and other machines.

· Continuous standing with infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds

· Bending, squatting, walking and twisting

Position Profile: (Warehouse Team Member) 10:30PM - 7AM, Sunday - Thursday

Warehouse Team Members are responsible for loading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of the Distribution Center.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow Menards safety policies and procedures and encourage other Team Members to do the same
• Safely operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products.
• Work cooperatively and productively with other Team Members in order to complete tasks under little supervision
• Unload product while correctly labeling and stacking product on skid and shrink-wrapping to be properly secure
• Load trucks according to cubic weight, size and characteristics
• Provide outstanding service to stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
• Maintain condition of Distribution Center work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
• Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation Locate product in warehouse using manifest or scanning system
• Use hand-help scanning equipment to add or subtract product from inventory
• Record quantity of product actually loaded on manifest system.
• Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens
• Perform Trailer Audit (Verify Trailer #, Cleanliness, Condition) prior to loading and inform supervisor of any deficiencies
• Transport product from production/receiving area using powered industrial vehicle.
• Additional duties assigned by Distribution Center Management
• All shifts must be flexible and require weekend rotating work

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
• Warehouse environment can expose Team Members to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold)
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally

POSITION SUMMARY: (Yardhorse Driver) 10:30PM - 7AM, Sunday - Thursday

The Yardhorse Driver position requires team members to efficiently move trailers around the facility to help prepare freight that is being transported to Menard, Inc. stores.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Safely and efficiently move trailers to different areas of the facility

· Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions while driving and operating equipment in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

· Use landing gear to drop trailers

· Open and close swinging trailer doors and rise and lower roll up doors

· Ensure proper freight securement of all loaded trailers

· Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations

· Communicate with area supervisors using a yard management system to ensure proper placement of trailers

· Provide outstanding service to stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner

· Perform pre-trip inspection on trailers

· Perform safety check of tractor vehicle prior to operation

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Must possess a good driving record

· Experience operating tractor/trailer or willingness to learn

· CDL license preferred but not required

· Enjoy working outdoors

· Proof of valid driver’s license
