Distribution Clerk, Sr. jobs in Pasadena, TX

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, self starter individual for a Shipping & Receiving position in Pasadena. The day-to-day responsibility of this candidate is checking drivers in and out and updating our WMS System, SYNAPSE. Reading emails to confirm appointments with customers or carriers. Replying to emails or forwarding to correct personnel. Answering phone calls throughout the day. providing directions or transferring to WH personnel. Will communicate via radio. Candidate will require good communication skills between warehouse and office personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Check in drivers
• Monitor daily emails
• Schedule appointments
• Keeping up with daily log/and daily schedule
• Following up with carriers on late or missed pick-ups.
• Schedule inbound loads and outbound loads.
• Document and report scheduling issues by account.
• Monitor and report accuracy on ISO conformances pertaining to receiving/shipping activities.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma, G.E.D.
• At least 2-3 years of Shipping/Receiving experience
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, Synapse a plus
• Experience with HazMat facility a plus
• Experience in logistics environment a plus
• Good communication skills
• Office Etiquette required
• Attention to detail
• Must be flexible to weekend work if necessary
• Punctual
• Work with a sense of urgency
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
