Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Distribution Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We're seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Beverage Distribution Sales Representative in the Iowa City area. Primary Responsibilities:
As our Beverage Distribution Sales Representative, you will be responsible for expanding our distribution network, increasing sales, and building strong relationships with retailers and consumers. You'll work closely with our brewery partners to promote their brands and drive growth in the market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grow sales by securing new distribution opportunities in both on and off-premise accounts.
- Promote and sell our portfolio of craft beverages to retailers and consumers.
- Collaborate with brewery partners to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance and market insights.
- Participate in tastings, events, and promotions to increase brand awareness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years sales experience. Previous experience in beverage sales or distribution preferred.
- Passion for craft beverages and the beverage industry.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of distribution channels and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
