Distribution Manager manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Position Overview
The warehouse associate receives shipments and restocks orders, keeps track of inventory, prepares, and loads order for customers, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
This Position also serves as a back up driver.
Position responsibilities include
Perform warehouse-related duties such as receiving and storage of goods, preparing orders for shipment by accurately picking items from shelves, operating and maintaining forklift and other equipment, loading / unloading product from trucks.
Perform data entry, merchandise scan-ins, and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order while tracking inventory for the company.
Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints, adjusting orders.
Maintains a clean and organized facility and work areas. Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company policies, procedures and standards.
Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities. Participates in a team atmosphere.
Follows all safe driving practices and DOT regulations.
Skills / Qualifications :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Physical activity requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, pulling, carrying, balancing, lifting, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking and hearing.
Heating and Air Conditioning knowledge desired but not required.
Ability to work 40-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Must have a valid drivers license, including proper class, with an acceptable driving record.
Education Level : HS Diploma or higher
Candidates will be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
