Distribution Manager jobs in Raleigh, NC

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise DOT drivers and the warehouse manager to ensure a safe working environment for all freight movement.
• Determine when product is distributed, the quantity sent, and the store it will be shipped to.
• Implementing strategies to ensure all products, incoming and outbound, are sent and received promptly.
• Process paperwork and necessary information required for incoming or outgoing shipments.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
• Utilize the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency for distributing and storing materials.
• Participates in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring, and improving staff performance.
• Performs related responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Previous experience as a manager in a warehouse or distribution center or experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Working knowledge of inventory management software
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Ability to coach, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
• Ability to multitask, be organized, and demonstrate outstanding time management skills.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role.

This job requires standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching overhead, gripping, squatting, and carrying the product to and from the delivery and customer vehicles as well as to areas within the store.
