District Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a district. Designs and recommends sales and marketing programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Being a District Sales Manager requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a regional sales manager. The District Sales Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Job Duties:
Monitor and maintain parts inventory levels per company policy
Order parts for trucks scheduled to come in
Order all needed parts for trucks in the shop
Create purchase orders for parts orders for each job so that they can easily be matched up with the repair order
When parts arrive from vendors, check them against the orders to ensure everything was received.
