**Job Title: Sr. Patient Account Specialist**

**Location: Lake Charles, LA**

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a Sr. Patient Account Specialist who will provide top-notch medical collection services for TLRA collection units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical collection and will successfully resolve accounts placed with TLRA for collection. The role demands expertise in performing collection activities related to follow-up, account resolution, and communication with various stakeholders while adhering to all client, state, and federal guidelines. Our commitment to patient and client satisfaction is paramount, thus we expect the specialist to possess comprehensive knowledge of the overall collection work processes for both active AR and BD inventory.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Efficiently manage and resolve medical collections accounts in coordination with TLRA units.

2. Conduct follow-ups and facilitate account resolution processes.

3. Engage in effective communication with patients, clients, reimbursement vendors, and other external entities.

4. Ensure strict compliance with all client, state, and federal guidelines related to account resolution and medical collection services.

5. Leverage a deep understanding of active AR and BD inventory collection work processes.

6. Contribute to a high level of patient and client satisfaction through meticulous and considerate service.

7. Assist in training and guiding junior staff in the department on collection work processes and resolution strategies.

8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and communications.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.

**Qualifications:**

1. High School Diploma

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical collections, with a proven track record of resolving complex accounts.

3. Familiarity with state and federal guidelines regarding medical collections.

4. Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.

5. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and medical billing software.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

8. Commitment to upholding the highest level of confidentiality and adhering to compliance standards.

**Physical Requirements:**

1. Ability to sit, stand, and move within the work area for extended periods.

2. Able to perform work on a computer for extended periods.

3. Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
