Division Budget Manager directs and controls the budget and financial forecasting activities for a division, product, or business line. Leads the budgeting process for annual, quarterly, and monthly budget development. Being a Division Budget Manager develops budgetary policies and guidelines to optimize the budget. Incorporates past financial results into budget development. Additionally, Division Budget Manager monitors and analyzes performance against budgets. Implements tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. May require a MBA. Typically reports to a director. The Division Budget Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Division Budget Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     What you’ll be doing...

    As part of the National Budget, you will play a meaningful role in our network transformation through building a unified network across all lines of business and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of our customers connected. You will work with various business units and functional leaders at the highest levels of the organization to detail current processes, help define new processes and lead transformative programs aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of the business while preparing the business for future.

    • Supporting the field engineering teams with resolving any budgetary & invoicing roadblocks while leveraging reporting and existing data report out on program status and pro-actively communicate areas of opportunity.

    • Obtaining and analyzing business data to inform senior leadership of critical gaps in the strategic operating model.

    • Driving the implementation of cross-functional, strategic projects.

    • Influencing peers and senior leaders to meet delivery achievements and short-term projects.

    • Building and driving governance, procedures and repetitive processes that yield high value within the organization.

    • Crafting business unit development and operations strategies by using data analytics.

    • Interpreting and processing data to provide recommendations to enhance business outcomes.

    • Working with various teams to capture and shape requirements for presentations to senior level leaders.

    ***This position can be located out of any US based Verizon Hub location. ***

    What we’re looking for…

    You are able to work well without supervision and can approach new problems with creative solutions. Communicating complex information in a simplified manner to leaders of various levels comes easily to you. You enjoy digging into details to make observations and recommendations. You’re able to tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience function and level. You understand the bigger picture and set the research in that context to provide comprehensive business-savvy recommendations.

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    • Program Management experience.

    • Experience working with cross functional teams across all levels of the organization to optimize business results.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • Experience in VzB Engineering processes, AFE/PO structure to assist with process mapping and system conversion functionality.

    • Experience in telecommunications industry and/or fiber construction.

    • Ability to investigate and follow SAP Transactions from initiation of a purchase order to payment.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Advanced Analytical Skills with experience in analyzing big data to find discrepancies, anomalies and used to help drive process improvement strategies.

    • Problem solving, time management and decision making skills.

    • Experience with nSAP/1ERP, CoFEE, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office. 

    • Self-starter and ability to adapt to changes.

    If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $200,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
