Title: Landscape Division Manager
Hours: Varies based on Crew schedule
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Services
Summary: Management of a fast paced landscape department to include the sale and implementation of residential and commercial jobs. Position manages multiple supervisors and crews as well as an in house designer and office administrator.
Scheduling:
Schedule landscape and irrigation projects
Schedule plant replacements
Work with commercial contractors to meet project deadlines
Responsible for ordering and delivery of materials
Coordinate with the nursery the plant material needs
Sales:
Contribute to and execute the annual sales plan for landscape maintenance to include: penetrating new markets, developing long term relationships with existing clients, and sales strategies to maximize profit, while minimizing inefficiencies.
Sell and manage individual commercial and residential accounts as needed
Prepare cost analysis by analyzing job costs to include material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the costing, bidding, and installation of jobs.
Manage warranty requests
Employee Supervision:
Oversee irrigation service technicians
Oversee processing of new jobs
Develop, manage and review landscape maintenance team- supervisors and administrative staff.
Lead weekly team meetings to plan, organize and strategize the activities of the team and crew production schedule.
Evaluate employees in annual reviews.
Inspect and promote housekeeping in the department to include commercial vehicles
Educate employees on Green Biz safety policy to ensure a safe working environment.
Budgeting:
Develop and manage yearly budget and monthly performance goals for the department.
Analyze future needs, forecasting staff and material needs to complete future jobs.
Develop and monitor performance metrics in the assigned areas of responsibility
Approve all departmental Purchase Orders for direct reports
All other duties as assigned by supervisor
