Physicians Mutual is hiring a full time Division Manager. The Division Manager will have accountability and responsibility for executing the Agency sales plan, according to Company practices, within the assigned Division territory, to meet production, suitability and customer service goals. This is a sales management position combining all aspects of managing an insurance sales force and managing employees within an office environment supporting the sales effort. As such, emphasis is placed on the management functions of planning, organizing and supporting the sales growth of the office. The main duties of the position are to pro-actively recruit, train and develop agents to meet the sales plan.

Job Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Four to five years of insurance sales management is required.
• Is appropriately licensed in designated states and may be appointed by both Physicians Mutual and Physicians Life Insurance Companies.
• RHU, CLU, LUTCF, ChFC or similar professional designation are preferred.
• Ability to successfully execute the franchise model office functions. These are related to hiring, training, developing and managing a growing agent force.
• Ability to identify, attract, select, and recruit potentially successful insurance agents.
• Ability to sell and teach others how to sell insurance products using the Best Practices Manual methods and processes.
• Extensive knowledge of our Companies’ insurance products and knowledge of competitor’s products.
• Extensive knowledge of sales methods and processes with good presentation skills.
• Knowledge of training procedures and guidelines and ability to effectively train agents.
• Ability to identify weaknesses/strengths of agent in sales situation and effectively coach development.
• Knowledge of Company procedures and policies including Region and Division Office guidelines.
• Knowledge of Agency, Underwriting, Accounting and Claims' Department procedures and functions.
• Ability to operate PC and utilize software programs such as Internet Navigation, Illustration Software, Microsoft Word and Excel.
