Assistant General Manager, Merchandising - Arizona Mills | Old Navy (gapinc.com)

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Merchandising Assistant. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising team in various administrative and operational tasks. Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular inventory audits - Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure timely and accurate product placement and displays - Communicate with vendors regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules - Support the visual design team in creating attractive displays and promotional materials - Assist in setting up and organizing merchandise displays according to company guidelines - Conduct market research to identify current trends and competitor strategies - Assist in analyzing sales data and generating reports for management review - Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving any issues - Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Requirements: - Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - Experience or knowledge in inventory control is preferred - Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work well within a team - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or other graphic design software is a plus - Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques - Knowledge of visual design principles for effective merchandising displays - Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Experience with cash handling procedures is desirable - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
