You will be part of the 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports the 9th A.F. Operations Directorate (A3).

In this role, you will:

• Conduct analytical assistance and oversight to support the 9AF AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center mission, including but not limited to the management and development of personnel, facilities, and systems.
• Provide expertise in AFFOR staff processes and all aspects of operational C2.
• Provide C2 planning and execution support, including participating in conferences, planning teams, and exercises for both exercises and contingencies.
• Participate in teleconferences and video teleconferences with inter-agency, joint, coalition, foreign partners, and industry experts regarding operational C2 issues.
• Assist with writing, reviewing, and managing C2 arrangements and staffing with joint service components, coalition and host nation partners, and higher headquarters.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years experience on an NAF or higher-level staff.
• Five (5) years of experience with operational C2 systems.
• Three (3) years experience at an NAF, component command staff, higher level, or other service equivalent.
• Two (2) years experience using Microsoft Office applications, e-mail systems, and Task Management Tool or equivalent.
• Active passport.
• Ability to travel 25%.
