Document Control Analyst administers document and record control operations, policies, and procedures for the secure management and access of company information assets. Maintains and enforces security protocols for the access, storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all documents. Being a Document Control Analyst evaluates media formats and follows storage requirements to protect and secure records/information. Analyzes access and control procedures to comply with requirements for varying levels of security classifications specified by the governing authority. Additionally, Document Control Analyst performs auditing, monitoring, and change control systems to May require a bachelor's degree. May require security clearance. Typically reports to a manager. The Document Control Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     We are seeking a full time Document Control Specialist for our AFL Hyperscale division in Kent, WA. The Document Control Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documents and manufacturing specifications as well as creating part numbers and managing changes to all engineering documentation. 

    Responsibilities

    • Creates and maintains documents in accordance to all technical standards; including but not limited to BOMs, Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Schematics, etc.
    • Manages requests with professionalism and maintains control of ERP data entry with a high degree of accuracy
    • Creates manufacturing specifications for new products
    • Creates and maintains comprehensive tables of data in Excel and other database systems
    • May create product numbers for new products/modifications to existing products
    • Manages changes of documentation utilizing data management software
    • Maintains archive of documentation and part numbers
    • Adheres to and promotes the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL

    Qualifications

    • 3 years’ experience working with fiber optic technical drawings, preferred
    • 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • 2 years’ experience working with an ERP system, Oracle is ideal
    • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Experience with Solid works preferred.
    • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
