Document Imaging Supervisor oversees personnel responsible for operating document imaging equipment for use in the creation of images or text. Document Imaging Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Being a Document Imaging Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Job Summary
Essential Functions
Perform a wide range of general diagnostic imaging procedures in the imaging department, in surgery and the Emergency Department, and at the patient’s bedside.
Proficiently operate imaging equipment
Utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
Perform EHR clerical functions related to patient chart documentation.
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma
1 year of relevant experience must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC upon hire required
