Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Regional Manager of Medical Imaging, the supervisor provides immediate supervision to technical, lead technical, coordinators and related radiology personnel throughout their assigned region. Overseas operations of all modalities within their scope. Some examples include- Ultrasound, CT, MRI, DX, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Mammography, DXA and radiology clinic operations.
In coordination with the regional manager prepares daily work schedules; ensures efficient day-to-day operation of assigned locations/modalities. Ensures quality assurance of services; ensures TJC, MQSA, specialty-accrediting bodies and additional regulatory standards are met including ACR and ICAVL; provides and updates information internally within the department and externally to interested parties in regards to areas of responsibility.
The supervisor assists the manager in coordinating, planning, selecting and implementing major capital equipment purchases to include but not limited to projection of demand for services, analyze emerging technology and develop proformas that are met once new projects are implemented.
Maintains adequate supply levels for patient care needs. Coordinates maximum access possible for patients and their referring providers. Works with Radiologists to continuously improve technology, services and patient satisfaction. Responsible for the financial performance of all cost centers including budgeting and variance reporting of the operational budget.
The supervisor is in a leadership role within the imaging network and will work closely with leaders who oversee other areas of the network to ensure optimized patient flow efficiencies and patient
