Overview
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) position supports an Army and joint stakeholder customer. This role will focus on providing oversight and system security engineering services to ensure the secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of customer-developed and deployed systems and networks. The ISSE will support the customer to ensure core security engineering principles are implemented into the assigned program's information systems architecture.
This position requires high co-location with the client (Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND). The JPEO-CBRND leads, manages, and directs the acquisition, fielding, and sustainment of CBRN sensors, protective equipment, medical countermeasures, specialized equipment for U.S. Special Forces, integration and information management systems, and defense-enabling biotechnologies. The organization also works closely with various government agencies that need CBRN defense equipment.
