Job Summary
The IT Security Administrator is a hands-on role responsible for auditing and administration of the company’s security and information technology program. This position will lead or participate in the development, enforcement, and maintenance of policies, procedures, measures, mechanisms, and systems to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems. The ideal candidate will have a high level of maturity and the ability to work independently and with limited management oversight. A thorough understanding of enterprise technology solutions utilized for the security and soundness of a growing organization is a must.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Communicate and collaborate to promote strong partnerships between managed services, senior management, business stakeholders, and other third-party vendors to perform risk assessments and formulate appropriate security guidelines and standards aligning to information security best practices.
- Maintain systems and perform activities related to vulnerability management, security information and event management, training and phishing awareness, endpoint patch management and protection across our hybrid on-prem/cloud environment.
- Participate in internal and external audits and reviews.
- Ensure security solutions, policies and procedures are sufficient to meet and respond to threats to our data and infrastructure.
- Work closely with senior leadership to instill cybersecurity policies and practices throughout business units to address security operations, incident response, application security and infrastructure.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge related to security threats, vulnerabilities and mitigations set forth to reduce the attack surface; circulate this knowledge through the business units.

- Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with security controls, and other common criteria to formulate and implement effective Risk Management Framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Self-driven with strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Dependable, flexible, adaptable, attentive to detail with a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with NIST Special Publications relating to RMF, Incident Response, Forensics, and System Engineering
Education, Experience, and Certification requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field; or minimum 5 years hands on experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale networking, server, and security infrastructures.
- Networking and telephony experience (CCNA or equivalent knowledge)
- Enterprise experience in securing and managing Azure and M365 admin centers including Azure Active Directory
- Working knowledge of best practice patch and vulnerability management in a hybrid environment including SCCM and Intune
- High level of experience working with enterprise technology security solutions within an enterprise Risk Management Framework

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis. May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms. Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push 20-50 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to talk and listen to others.
Work Environment
This position regularly works in an office setting. Most of the job duties require the employee to be working with computers and electronic media on a regular basis.
