    Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Loan Documentation Coordinator to join the team in our Bank Operations/Lending Services Division. The Loan Documentation Coordinator will deliver a World Class Experience to clients and associates by being responsible for all tasks related to documentation of consumer and commercial loans. The Loan Documentation Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing documentation requests and preparing loan documentation. This position must provide support to internal and external customers including, lenders, other bank service providers, vendors, and the Bank’s customers. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Lending Services Manager. This position does not have the ability to work hybrid or remote and will be in-person at our Hollister Offices.


    Minimum Requirements, Activities, & Responsibilities

    Education and Experience: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • A minimum of one year up to three years of previous experience in a Loan Documentation or Lending Services department or similar required
    • Experience with loan documentation software applications, preferably Compliance Systems or similar required
    • Understanding of key lending terms, common loan structuring, and experience with loan closings preferred
    • Experience with the FISERV Premier System of similar lending “Core” system preferred
    • Understanding of commercial, consumer, small business, and construction loan structures and documentation requirements preferred

    Essential Functions:

    • Prepares Commercial, Consumer, and SBA Loan Documents with simple to highly complex structures and is responsible for assisting the CLG and/or Business Banking Portfolio Managers, and Loan Documentation Support Specialists with the loan process
    • Processes incoming documentation requests; enters into documentation log and updates throughout the day
    • Assists in the set up and testing of Loan Documentation system specifications and configuration for new and revised loan products Supports funding and closing tasks prior to boarding for all commercial, consumer, and credit cards
    • Assists department with servicing functions such as payment processing, wire processing, and paid-note processing
    • Responsible for joint review with CLG and Business Banking for entity documents, insurance, and flood worksheets
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Must be able to work effectively either independently or as part of a team
    • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
