Documentation Supervisor jobs in Battle Creek, MI
Documentation Supervisor coordinates the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Collaborates with technical teams to prepare accurate content. Being a Documentation Supervisor reviews edits and approves the final content. Ensures that standardized documentation methods and tools are deployed and that required document control procedures are employed. Additionally, Documentation Supervisor monitors project deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of release notes, manuals, and online content. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Documentation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Documentation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain Op sheet electronic and hard copy libraries.
- Organize and track op sheet changes through approval process.
- Edit and review changes in the electronic work instructions library.
- Review and process manufacturing order packets
- Review, process and distribute engineering changes/deviations.
- Develop and assemble modification documents.
- Develop op sheets for new PCBA’s with input from Process Engineering.
- Maintain Bill of Material Point of Use (POU) and Sequence Information.
- Coordinate post build reviews.
- Support floor with any documentation needs
- Identify and implement continuous improvements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of printed circuit boards and manufacturing assembly processes
- Experience with writing technical procedural documentation
- Computer experience with creating/editing images.
- Knowledge and experience with HTML Editor(s) and PowerPoint
- Authorization to work in US.
