Additionally, Documentation Supervisor monitors project deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of release notes, manuals, and online content. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Documentation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. JOB SUMMARY:
Direct, supervise and coordinate stamping area and related services through Supervisors and other subordinates to achieve timely production of quality products at the most economical costs and in the proper quantities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate, plan, and organize stamping procedures and operations to accomplish objectives in accordance with production and delivery schedules, available manpower, skills and manufacturing capabilities.
2. Through motivating techniques, delegation of responsibilities and other authority within the framework of the organization structure, maintain uninterrupted production, flow of materials, product quality and quantity within the limitations of established manufacturing costs and budget allocations.
3. Implement and coordinate approved procedures for utilizing staff services to resolve manufacturing problems, i.e. tooling methods, cost reduction, manpower planning, employee relations, quality issues, maintenance.
4. Maintain close surveillance over operations to assure schedules, work flow, utilization of personnel, skills, machines and facilities are utilized to the maximum effect.
5. Participate in management meetings to assist in planning and make recommendations related to the total business unit.
6. Participate in and implement general administrative and technical programs to ensure communications, staffing, job evaluation and wage administration, employee training, employee relations, disciplinary actions, safety, subordinate training, are completed in a timely manner.
7. Act as liaison between the total business and the stamping staff to keep the supervisory personnel informed and to maintain the highest possible plane of harmonious employer-employee relationship, including employee involvement and small group team efforts.
8. Either directly or through subordinates and staff services, maintains a well-trained and adequate press department, Tool & Die, and supervisory staff.
9. Keep informed of new technical or other developments relevant to stamping, tool & die, manufacturing, equipment, methods and employee relations.
10. Promote the use of small group (both supervisory and plant and plant employees) to identify and achieve satisfactory resolutions to quality, employee relations, manufacturing cost/time or environmental issues.
11. Ensure the capability, instructions and training of supervisory personnel in quality, manufacturing methods, responsibilities, through the use of performance reviews and other methods of evaluating personnel.
12. Through motivation and instruction maintain a standard of plant cleanliness and organization that meets and surpasses Toyo Seat’s and existing industry standards.
