Documentation Supervisor coordinates the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Collaborates with technical teams to prepare accurate content. Being a Documentation Supervisor reviews edits and approves the final content. Ensures that standardized documentation methods and tools are deployed and that required document control procedures are employed. Additionally, Documentation Supervisor monitors project deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of release notes, manuals, and online content. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Documentation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. JOB SUMMARY:
Review health records including but not limited to financial and insurance information, assessments, care plans, documentation of daily care, interdisciplinary and consult notes and physician orders, medication and treatment administration records, laboratory and diagnostic reports.
Submit reports regarding documentation performance in meeting Federal and State reimbursement requirements to the operations office as requested.
Conduct training with staff as needed.
Participate in assessment completion process when needed.
Conduct Assessment accuracy audits.
Track trends and performance.
Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Involvement.
Facilitate QAPI awareness to support quality and/or acceptable business practice.
Review CASPER reports for areas to target.
Review INTERACT tools to target trends of concern.
Identify Performance Improvement Project (PIP) team for identified area Identify performance targets and performance benchmarks.
EDUCATION: RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: At least one year of nursing experience in a long term care setting. Previous audit experience in area of Medicare and/or case mix helpful. Understanding of reimbursement issues and systems at Federal and State levels. Thorough knowledge of principles and methods involved in in-service instruction of nursing and auxiliary personnel. Knowledge of current rules and regulations pertaining to the long-term care industry for Federal and State levels.
