Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to use your knowledge and skill in a way that saves and enhances lives? The Indiana Donor Network is seeking a Forensic Outreach Coordinator to join our team.

Over the last 30 years, our mission has never wavered: saving and enhancing the quality of life through organ, tissue and eye donation and transplantation. At Indiana Donor Network, you'll be part of something that matters. It’s a mission that turns tragedies into hope and gives thousands a second chance to live their lives fully.

As a Forensic Outreach Coordinator, you will serve as the main point of contact to Indiana’s county coroners, deputy coroners, forensic pathologists, funeral directors, police officers, prosecutors, and fire fighters within the counties served by Indiana Donor Network. The position provides key communications, education service activities and issue resolution designed to support the highest level of organ and/or tissue donation outcomes on donor cases that may be affected by the actions of these professions. In addition, this position is responsible for the coordination of the Indiana Donor Network non-hospital death referral/donation program.

Some of the key result areas of this position include:

    • Serves as the organ and tissue donation advocate and consultant to coroners, deputy coroners, forensic pathologists, police investigators and prosecutors within the Indiana Donor Network designated service area (DSA) to decrease coroner declines for hospital referrals and increase the number of out-of-hospital referrals.
    • Serves as the donation advocate and consultant to funeral homes within the Indiana Donor Network designated service area (DSA), with the goal of improving relationships and reducing negative influence funeral directors impart upon families that result in organ or tissue declines.
    • Meets defined business development goals.
