Position Summary: The Donor Engagement Coordinator supports the Donor Relations department at the Voice of Prophecy by communicating with donors, coordinating Sponsorship events, and providing guidance to the Data Entry Specialist.
Authority & Accountability: Authority delegated by the Donor Relations Director.
Essential Job Functions:
Donor Communication
- Collaborate with the staff of the donor relations department to implement a process for reaching out to significant ministry donors through telephone, mail, email, and face-to-face meetings. This process involves expressing gratitude to donors for their contributions, as well as recognizing important life events such as birthdays, anniversaries, illnesses, and family milestones.
- Assist the Associate Donor Relations Director in creating proposals for gifts, as well as follow-up reports for donors who have made restricted gifts.
Sponsorship Event Planning
- Organize and chair Sponsorship committee
- Produce minutes for Sponsorship Committee
- Oversee master Sponsorship calendar to ensure deadlines are met.
- Call donors and invites them to Sponsorship events
- Manage registration, hotel lists, and prospect list in database.
- Serve as a liaison with hotel staff
- Record faith promises following event.
Guidance to Data Entry Specialist
- As the senior administrative support specialist on the team, the donor engagement specialist will provide guidance and assistance to the data entry specialist. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Finding resolution to questions from donor entry specialist.
- Processing requests to and from the ministry warehouse team.
- Assisting, when needed, with donation inputting, receipting, and depositing.
Qualifications, scope, and complexity of Duties:
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Minimum of five years in office environment with extensive telephone usage.
- Membership: Must be an enthusiastic member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Skills, scope, and complexity of duties:
- Outstanding verbal, telephone, and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Ability to follow instructions, exercise direction, make decisions, and assume responsibility for all tasks and projects assigned.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and function effectively in a demanding environment that requires discretion, flexibility, and superior work.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner and tactfully manage stressful situations, resolve potential conflicts, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to organizational protocol.
