Donor Research Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Donor Research Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Human Resources Department, Research Corporation of the University of Hawai‘i (RCUH) core staff located in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.

    MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $4,800-$5,500/Mon.

    DUTIES: Responsible for an efficient and accurate onboarding/hiring process for all employment categories. This includes reviewing and advising on new hire paperwork submission, scheduling and coordinating appointments to verify identity and employment authorization documents (e.g., Form I-9), and ensuring project’s desired timeline to hire are met. Serves as point of contact for new hires and project staff in relation to hiring/employment actions, which requires general understanding of the employee life cycle and knowledge in areas of recruitment, payroll, and benefits. Advises project on proper completion for new hire documents. Ensures hiring packets are complete and provides clearance/authorization for hires to start work. Reviews and approves non-recruited hire requests. Provides guidance and recommendations to project staff on employment actions/categories and policies/procedures relating to employment via RCUH. Primary point of contact for the shared email inbox and responds to inquiries received via email, phone, in person, etc. and provides resolution to routine to complex requests/assignments. Conducts background checks and completes verifications of employment. Updates internal procedures and processes. Provides feedback and recommendations to streamline related procedures and processes. Responsible for conducting and ensuring compliance with employment related audits.

    PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    One to three (1-3) years of experience performing assignments in or related to human resources.

    KNOWLEDGE

    General knowledge of applicable Federal and State employment laws/regulations and human resources principles and concepts.

    ABILITIES & SKILLS

    . Must possess administrative skills and computer skills to work with automated Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Must be able to work on competing assignments and deadlines and manage a fast-paced, high-volume of work environment while assisting customers via frequent phone calls and a high volume of emails, daily. Ability to research laws/regulations, summarize and compile data, and produce reports. Ability to work independently on assignments. Proficient in keyboarding (i.e., acceptable speed and accuracy). Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel applications, email, Internet, and general abilities to use data base software. :Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check for working with highly confidential and sensitive information which includes being fingerprinted and having a federal background check performed. Must be able to complete the UH Title IX training within twelve (12) months from date of hire. Must be able to complete the Hawai'i State Ethics Code Training within three (3) months from date of hire, and re-certify every four (4) years. Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months. Must be able to complete the EEO/Sexual Harassment Prevention and Workplace Violence Prevention trainings within twelve (12) months from date of hire, and re-certify every two (2) years.

    POLICY/REGULATORY REQUIREMENT

    As a condition of employment, employee will be subject to all applicable RCUH policies, procedures, and trainings and, as applicable, subject to University of Hawai‘i's and/or business entity's policies, procedures, and trainings. Violation of RCUH's, UH's, or business entity's policies and/or procedures or applicable State or Federal laws and/or regulations may lead to disciplinary action (including, but not limited to possible termination of employment, personal fines, civil and/or criminal penalties, etc.).

    SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience working in a Human Resources office/department for a similar large organization. Previous working experience with human resources system (e.g., PeopleSoft) or other specialized Human Resources Management and/or information systems. Working knowledge of and experience in EEO and Affirmative Action Programs, labor laws, UH and RCUH policies and procedures.
