Donor Research Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Donor Research Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Donor Research Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Description

    Responsible for collaboration and coordination of donor designation programs, including maintaining relationships with license, treasury and departments of revenue, on-going registry education to the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) staff and increasing donation awareness in the community.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    DMV

    1. Develops and maintains relationships with license, treasury and Department of Revenue office management and leadership.
    2. Responsible for providing education on state donor registries to DSA-wide DMV offices.
    3. Collaborates with designated leadership team members on donor registries development for monthly and quarterly reporting of data, or as requested or required by regulatory agencies.
    4. In partnership with MTN leaders, State Team Leaders, and state motor vehicle personnel, implements nationally recognized best practices to enhance the ease and likelihood that Kansans and Missourians register as donors.
    5. Maintains a donor designation training program for frontline DMV staff.
    6. Maintains a DMV staff recognition program to highlight high functioning DMV branch offices and personnel.
    7. Develops and delivers quarterly DMV email updates to include office performance.
    8. Develops and delivers original content regarding DMVs for MTN’s quarterly newsletter, Donation Connection.
    9. Provides organ, eye and tissue donation educational materials as needed for the general public.
    10. Represents MTN by participating on identified state teams such as Donate Life Kansas and engages in DL Kansas Facebook oversight and participation.
    11. Maintains knowledge of federal and state laws/ regulations related to the donation process.
    12. Maintains in-depth knowledge of organ and tissue donation process including DCD and brain death and donor criteria.

    Community Engagement

    1. Coordinates donor designation opportunities with the MTN DSA including DMVs, colleges and universities and other public or community events to meet organizational strategies and goals.
    2. Promotes and supports public awareness campaigns throughout the DSA, including MTN special events and activities determined by leadership to achieve goals.
    3. In collaboration with CE/PR team, develops ideas to develop unique plans/strategies for public relations and promotion of the registries across MTN service area.
    4. Facilitates effective communication through strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to consider various perspectives and achieve purpose and goals.
    5. Demonstrated skill in developing and delivering presentations to large groups with ease and confidence.
    6. Assists in coordination and execution of national campaigns through workplace and community partnerships including but not limited to National Donate Life Month, National Multiethnic Donor Awareness Month, National DMV Appreciation Month, DEIB awareness activities and other activities as determined.

     

    Qualifications


    QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    1. Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or equivalent course of study required.
    2. 3-5 years experience in a professional position, preferably in a medical environment or a combination of experience and education providing equivalent knowledge required.
    3. Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. May be required to work for extended periods of time with few breaks.
    4. Ability to travel 30-40 percent of the time within the DSA.
    5. Detail oriented, organized, excellent tracking/reporting skills, effective written and verbal communication.
    6. Microsoft Office proficiency required.
    7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy. Must have reliable personal automobile transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines. Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air.
    8. Ability to lift 50 pounds and transfer short distances.
    9. Possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate telephones, computers and office equipment.
    10. Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone.
    11. Ability to hear at normal audio levels of speaking whether in person or over the phone.
    12. Vision correctable to 20/40.
    13. OSHA Category III No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties.
    14. Home internet and wireless phone access may be required.
