Donor Research Coordinator jobs in New London, CT

Donor Research Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Donor Research Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Donor Research Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Raiser's Edge Database Administrator

  • Position Summary:

    Under supervision of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator will report directly to the Analytics Manager and has ownership of the Raiser’s Edge/NXT database; including but not limited to its maintenance, upkeep, and upgrading, and ensuring that all necessary information is accessible, accurate, and clean.

    General Position Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assumes responsibility for the management of confidential, computerized records of financial and in-kind donors, their giving histories, and other personal and business information.
    • Design and produce accurate queries, imports, exports, reports, and lists for mailings, newsletters, event invitations, and moves in a timely and systematic manner.
    • Participate in fundraising and cultivation outreach, projects and events, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate acknowledgement letters and tax receipts, track budgets and expenditures, audit requests, and month-end and year-end reconciliation.
    • Manage and track email receipts to donors, and pledge payments.
    • Create donation pages as needed or update current pages using RE Online Merchant Services and Just Giving pages as needed.
    • Create data-informed analysis to help fine-tune donor and volunteer cultivation and relationships.
    • Work within Raiser’s Edge/NXT modules to create events, enter donations, track registrations, and ensure integrity of data by updating addresses, constituency codes, relationships, duplicates, deceased or inactive constituents, bad addresses and donor solicitation preferences.
    • Provide, support and identify training in support of staff members’ accurate and appropriate use of Raiser’s Edge/NXT.
    • Design, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures in line with the Development team’s goals and needs.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Support the mission, vision, and values of the Aquarium at all times.
    • Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time effectively, provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach, collaborates and participates in policy creation and appropriate problem-solving methods.
    • Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in Mystic Aquarium’s Employee Handbook, including but not limited to, corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.
    • Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Required:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Raiser’s Edge, RE NXT, and Blackbaud Merchant Services or similar donor database required.
    • A solid to strong command of the written word, producing email communications, documents, project plans, etc. that are free from errors and professional.
