Donor Research Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Donor Research Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Donor Research Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. RWJ Somerset is looking for a Blood Donor Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- including both employees and volunteers
- Assists in hiring new employees as needed.
- Schedule blood donor room staff to meet Donor needs.
- Oversee daily operations of Blood Donor Services and assist with phlebotomy.
- Trains employees and volunteers in duties and responsibilities of their specific job descriptions.
- Provides training regarding laboratory and hospital policies and Blood Donor Services procedures including cGMP.
- Monitors employees continuing education, competency, and proficiency.
- Perform employee evaluations.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies: FDA, AABB, CAP, NJDOH, and Joint Commission.
- Develop and keep current Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
- Monitors department QC and equipment maintenance
- Investigates complaints, problems and errors; ensures appropriate action is taken.
- Performs tracking and trending analysis as needed.
- Performs Blood Donor Services quality program duties as needed.
- Maintains Blood Donor Services quality program in accordance with regulations.
- Oversees and assists in the production of blood components manufactured at RWJUH Somerset.
- Acts as Administrative Supervisor for the laboratory on weekends and/or as assigned.
- Participates in Transfusion Committee meetings.
- Read, be with familiar with, participate in periodic education/training regarding, and comply with, Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas' Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other corporate compliance policies (as may be amended from time to time).
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS (Typing, shorthand and special machinery)
Immuno-hematology knowledge. Donor room and/or Immuno-hematology skills preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Basic management skills
Phlebotomy skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(Degrees, years in profession)
Medical Technologist with 5 years experience in Immuno-hematology, possess SBB with 2 years experience subsequent to graduation, or RN with 2 years donor room experience. Knowledge of FDA and AABB regulations.
Supervisory and quality assurance experience preferred.
Must successfully complete in-house training and cGMP training.
CERTIFICATION
(License, CPA)
RN, MT, SBB or equivalent preferred.
CPR training preferred.
