Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. jobs in Bradenton, FL

Southeastern Guide Dogs enjoys a world-class reputation as a premier nonprofit organization where extraordinary dogs are paired with those who need them, fulfilling a mission that transforms lives every day.  The Finance team is seeking a Finance Coordinator who will be responsible for processing all incoming donations and helping our constituents in achieving their philanthropic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Entering donations received from outside constituents ensuring that they are processed accurately and timely. 
• Respond promptly to donor phone calls and emails.
• Answer questions from donors regarding their donations and send them additional information if needed. 
• Work closely with the Database Analyst to ensure constituent information is entered correctly into the database.
• Work closely with the Philanthropy team on any coding questions and submit reclassifying entries if needed.
• Process all donor acknowledgement letters and work closely with the Stewardship Writer on the processing of major gifts.
• Properly acknowledge all tribute gifts in a timely manner.
• Prepare daily check deposit. 
• Prepare weekly cash deposit. 
• Will serve as back-up support for other Finance Department functions as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and two years of related experience, or one-year certificate from a college or technical school with one year or more of experience. 
• Database experience is required with previous use of Blackbaud products (Raisers Edge) a plus. 
• Ability to use moderate levels of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
• Excellent customer service skills.
