SR Technologies (SRT) is expanding and we're looking for a Research Engineer to join our team! We’re headquartered in Sunrise, FL where we provide highly competitive satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular technologies and services to our government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. As a Research Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of our research team, focusing on exploring innovative methods and technologies within the realm of wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IoT (WiSUN and LoRa).

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct in-depth studies to comprehend IoT wireless technologies thoroughly.
• Construct and deploy test networks for experimentation.
• Develop robust tools for controlling and monitoring wireless networks, encompassing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-SUN, and LoRaWAN.
• Analyze real data to enhance and diagnose potential issues.
• Maintain and enhance code and algorithms for various signals of interest.
• Collaborate with Tech Services, QA, Apps, and PMO teams.
• Conduct tests of installations and new methodologies in both laboratory and airborne environments.
• Assist in demonstrations and customer inquiries.
• Undertake additional tasks as delegated by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a relevant scientific field such as engineering technology, physics, computer science, or mathematics.
• Proficiency in software development, with expertise in programming languages like C, C#, Python, etc., within a Linux/Unix environment.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocol stack and multiple operating systems.
• Willingness to travel via small aircraft.
• Availability for on-call duty to support customer or Technical Services operations.
• Eligibility for US government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth technologies.
