Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager.     Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Plan and oversee key Development events, such as ground-breaking ceremonies, grand openings, building dedications and other national campaign moments.
    2. Maintain all aspects of Naming Opportunities for Bricks, Pavers, Seats, Benches, and Trees. Enter payments, thank you letters, orders, work orders, photos and “in place” letters.
    3. Build and maintain proposal pipeline in coordination with RVPs, including current, past due, and upcoming proposals.
    4. Conduct prospect research on individuals, corporations and foundations using a variety of print and electronic resources and reference materials.
      1. Create prospect profiles as requested.
      2. Perform proactive research from high-capacity lists and admit lists reviews.
      3. Manage prospect information and wealth management rating in Raisers Edge.

      5. Coordinate and run Regional Development/High-Capacity Calls, in conjunction with VP of Regional Advancement, including:
        • Develop and distribute high capacity list, meeting agenda, and minutes.
        • Changes in Moves Management coding in Raisers Edge.
        • Coordinate Regional Development Reports for monthly calls with Regional Administrative Assistants.
      6. Research all Regions new admissions to identify more prospects in these regions.
    5. Lead the development, design and production of the Annual Philanthropy Report on behalf of the marketing, development and executive offices.
    6. Provide administrative support to the Development Department, including mailings, communications, special events, and campaigns.
    7. Work in close collaboration with Data Administrator to assist with queries, reports, and lists for events.
    8. Manage photo/ video releases for PR opportunities, appeals, etc. via DocuSign.
    9. Collaborate closely with alumni, development, marketing, and regional office colleagues in increasing support from alumni; routinely identify and qualify alumni as prospects for gifts; communicate development-related activities via written contact reports filed in Raisers Edge and periodic attendance at prospect management meetings.
    10. Process donor gifts in Raiser’s Edge and produce acknowledgement letters within a timely manner on an as needed basis.
    11. Assist with management of funds including restricted and endowed funds as well as fund reports for Finance, Planned Giving Council, Development Committee and Annual Report.

    Education / Experience Qualifications: 

    1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
    2. Experience and/or interest in recovery, addiction treatment, or behavioral health a plus.
    3. Related work or experience in a nonprofit preferred.
    4. Nonprofit database experience preferred.
    5. If in recovery, a minimum of 2 years continuous sobriety preferred.

    1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout Caron, external constituents, event consultants, and the public.
    2. Proven ability to manage and executive high-quality special events.
    3. Demonstrably strong writing, planning and organizational skills.
    4. Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals.
    5. High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
    6. Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.
    7. Experience with Sales Force and/or Raisers Edge preferred.
