Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. Additionally, Donor Research Coordinator, Sr. maintains confidentiality and complies with data privacy regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Donor Support Coordinator - Children’s Cancer Partners

  • Children’s Cancer Partners (CCP) provides resources, community, and compassion to children with cancer and their families. The Donor Support Coordinator is responsible for managing all donor information. This includes the electronic database, donor files and correspondence to ensure the ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, engage, and thank donors and volunteers, assuring the reliable, timely and accurate flow and retention of communications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    Data Management
    • Work closely with the Development staff using available data to develop and implement strategic goals around donor prospecting, engagement, and stewardship.
    • Create appropriate funds/campaigns/approaches in donor database for properly tracking donations.
    • Review and optimize data management processes to improve methods for moving people along our continuum of engagement (moves management) and ensure metrics driving fundraising.
    • Support processes for grant, event, major gift management.
    • Manage the donor database, which includes: 
      • Primary data entry and updates.
      • Acknowledgement of gifts, grants and sponsorships.
      • Pledge payment tracking, acknowledgements, reminders, and follow-up processes.
      • Find and merge duplicate records and perform other routine data clean up.
      • Run wealth ratings semiannually.
    Donor Reporting
    • Provide standardized and custom reports as needed.
      • Create probable donor lists for fundraising and volunteer recruitment.
      • Perform periodic analysis to enhance donor and volunteer relationships.
      • Create dashboards that support the organization budget.
    • Provide support for the development and implementation of all other relevant campaigns, and events.
      • Create queries and exports for mailing lists, email campaigns, fundraising appeals, event invitations and other fundraising/marketing initiatives.
      • Coordinate, prepare, train, and manage volunteers working with campaign mailings.
    • Support fundraising team with tracking pledges, creating and mailing invoices as needed, understanding duties for events including planned communications, and volunteer opportunities.
    Data Integrity and Standards
    • Maintain data entry standards for data integrity.
    • Maintain and update Donor Database Policies & Procedures Manual
    • Reconcile donor database with organization financial reporting monthly.
    Miscellaneous Duties
    • Assist Executive Director and Executive Assistant with board communications and meetings, including preparing documents.
    • Demonstrate strong proficiency in written communication, emphasizing a strong understanding of composition, tone, and tact when composing letters and other written correspondence.
    • Participate in online and other training for donor database sponsored by vendor.
    • Other duties as appropriate and assigned, including occasional participation in fundraising events.

    • Significant prior experience in relevant non-profit fundraising roles

    • Proficiency with donor software system, preferably Blackbaud’s suite of software products and Salesforce
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with web/text/cloud-based donations preferably Classy
    • College degree or experience equivalency
    • Occasional overnight travel required
    • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
    • Ability to perform routine office work, lift up to 25 lbs
    • Valid Driver’s license
