  • Job Summary:

    The drafter is responsible for technical drawings and plans of communication towers, agricultural towers, and other structural steel projects using AutoCAD and other various programs.

    Job Duties:
    • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and structural steel detailing
    • Create layouts and complete detailed drawings sets for structural steel projects
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Accountability and delivery on deadline commitments and quality
    • Knowledge or experience in steel fabrication and field construction a plus
    • The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Associates Degree or certificate from a technical program will be considered
    • Knowledge and experience with using AutoCAD
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
    • Familiar with engineering concepts and terminology
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Detail oriented and high capacity to work in a focused and methodical manner
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
    • Organizational and follow-up capabilities
    • Basic mathematical skills, e.g. averages, percentages
    • Good communication skills
