Job Summary
This position performs a variety of drafting and modeling duties utilizing Solidworks computer aided design software. Adheres to all Engineering department design standards and best practices. Effectively communicates status and drives timely completion of drawings and Engineering documentation to support department projects.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Create clear, complete, accurate drawings from Solidworks models, drawing mark-ups and Engineer provided direction.
- Develop, refine and complete Solidworks models per Engineering requirements.
- Execute the change management process. Including the creation of change control documents and management of them through implementation.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a drafting roll preferred.
- Excellent Solidworks computer aided design software skills.
- Knowledge in ANSI Y14.5 Drafting Standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Sufficient knowledge of Quality systems, Engineering and Manufacturing processes as they pertain to Engineering drawings.
- Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Computer Aided Design or related discipline. (preferred)
