Drafting Supervisor supervises a team within an organization's computer-aided design (CAD) department. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of drafters and other employees working on design projects. Being a Drafting Supervisor ensures deadlines, goals, and production standards for the department are met. Analyzes data and reviews drawings/plans to ensure quality of work and project feasibility. Additionally, Drafting Supervisor reviews project results and makes recommendations for improvement. Provides CAD technical support and develops solutions. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Drafting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our team. As a Designer, you will be responsible for creating and developing designs for various projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet client requirements and specifications.
Duties:drasfting , light office work
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using software such as Sketchup, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MicroStation
- Develop mechanical designs, schematics, and civil 3D models
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather project requirements
- Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and stakeholders
- Present design concepts and proposals to clients
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant regulations and standards
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Designer or similar role
- Proficiency in using design software such as Sketchup, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, MicroStation, and Civil 3D
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles
- Familiarity with 2D animation techniques is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
