Drafting Supervisor jobs in Carson City, NV
Drafting Supervisor supervises a team within an organization's computer-aided design (CAD) department. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of drafters and other employees working on design projects. Being a Drafting Supervisor ensures deadlines, goals, and production standards for the department are met. Analyzes data and reviews drawings/plans to ensure quality of work and project feasibility. Additionally, Drafting Supervisor reviews project results and makes recommendations for improvement. Provides CAD technical support and develops solutions. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Drafting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Drafting Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Streivor is looking for experienced AutoCAD drafters to help our Sales, Engineering, and Production Staff.
Pay is between $50,000 - $60,000
Streivor is an innovator in the field of Commercial Kitchen - Hood, Fire Suppression and Demand Control Ventilation Systems.
Job Description:
As AutoCAD drafter you will be working directly with customers, engineers, and manufacturing. Your responsibilities may include system engineering and some short-term travel for system start-ups. Your duties will may also include estimating, customer service, and project management.Your Skills:
AutoCAD drafting and/or PLC programmingExperience reading and drawing Electrical Schematics and Ladder Drawings
At least 1 year experience using AutoCAD, with a proficiency proficient in 2D drawing.
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
