    We are actively seeking an Apprentice Driller Assistant to join our team. This position will assist the Drillers to perform geotechnical, environmental, monitoring well, and other drilling activities. Daily tasks include, but not limited to: driving a water or support truck; site preparations; material and drill tool handling, and vehicle maintenance. This position offers opportunities to grow through company-paid professional development at vocational schools and on-the-job training.

    Position Requirements:
    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
    • 0 to 2 years of experience in construction, general laborer, or drilling industries

    Licenses & Registrations:

    • Valid US Driver’s license and able to obtain vehicle insurance.
    • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) A or B (preferred, but not required)
    • Company-paid safety training within 3 months of hire: First aid & CPR, 10-hour OSHA, 40-hour HAZWOPER

    Physical Demands:

    • Frequently lift and move items that weight up to 50 pounds, and perform various other tasks that require moderate physical exertion (e.g. setting up traffic control equipment, handling drilling tools and equipment, etc.).
    • Comfortable working outdoors.
    • Climb up and down ladders; work on elevated platforms, work in remote areas, uneven grounds, and over water.

    Other Expectations:

    • Ability to obtain base access pass and security clearance to access government and military restricted areas.
    • Flexibility to work more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week; and occasional work during night shifts, weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to commute to, and work on, the various Hawaiian Islands and other locations in the Pacific (e.g. American Samoa, Guam, Saipan, etc.).
