Drilling Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Performs design evaluations and recommends alterations to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Being a Drilling Engineer may conduct risk assessment and cost estimation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Drilling Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Dakota Drilling & Concrete, Inc. is a specialty drilling contractor working primarily in the Los Angeles area. Dakota Drilling tackles a variety of specialty projects including but not limited to tieback and soil nail installation, slope stabilization, micropile installation, limited access drilling, and much more.
Dakota Drilling is looking to hire and train a new employee to assist with estimating and project management. We are open to applicants who have either part time or full time availability.
Basic skills with Microsoft office are required, along with the ability to effectively communicate and work in a team based environment. Some previous construction experience is a plus, but not required (we will provide training for everything that will be expected of you).
Work will take place in the Oxnard office, with occasional travel to jobsites primarily located in Los Angeles and Ventura county. Valid drivers license is required.
