We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the animal care operations, including management and scheduling of staff. This is a leadership position that requires strategic planning, business development, and strong leadership skills.
BACHELORS DEGREE PREFERRED.
```Responsibilities:```
-Supervise and schedule staff within budget
- Report to Executive Director
-Formulate plans for placement of animals
-Coordinate transportation of animals to other shelters and to veterinarians for spay/neuter
-Oversee care and housing of animals in the shelter
-Work with our veterinarian to manage treatment of all animals
-Manage supply and medication inventory, order supplies, oversee delivery of supplies
-Manage adoptions and transports
-Insure shelter is operating consistent with Best Practices for animal shelters and within CARES' Standard Operating Procedures
-Review and submit time cards for payroll
-Calendar deadlines for grants, grant reports
-Maintain records on all animals and timely submit records to our partners
-Other duties as assigned.
