Drilling Operations Director jobs in North Dakota
Drilling Operations Director directs and oversees the drilling, production, and engineering operations for an organization. Oversees all aspects of planning and executing drilling projects, developing oil and gas fields, and analyzing reserves. Being a Drilling Operations Director is responsible for directing revisions or enhancements to troubleshoot and solve drilling problems. May coordinate drilling contractors and production managers/superintendents. Additionally, Drilling Operations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Drilling Operations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Drilling Operations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We have an opening for a Drilling Assistantto assist with drilling operations in the surrounding area. In this role, youll operate vehicles and drilling equipment to obtain samples, record test locations/soil type,install monitoring wells, and seal boreholes while prioritizing safety and client relationships. Candidates should enjoy working outdoors in varied weather conditions and have a comfort level with equipment maintenance. Training for the positionis provided, though a background in soil science, geology,orearth science is helpful.IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:
- Set up equipment andassist in the operation ofthe drill rig in a safe manner
- Work withthecrew chief to operate drilling equipment, install monitoring wells,collect samples, prepare field logs, and restorethesiteto nearly its previous condition.
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed
- Communicate withclients andAET project managersfor smooth and successful projects
REQUIREDEDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE- HS diploma or GED
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
- Capable of the physical labor required including work at hazardous waste sites, with personal protective equipment
- Mechanicalaptitude
