North Star Community Services, a Cedar Valley private, not-for-profit organization that provides adult day services and community living services to individuals with a variety of disabilities, is seeking a Director of Operations. The right candidate will be part of the management team that works together to develop appropriate goals and strategies to positively advance the mission of the organization.
The person in this position develops, maintains, and oversees the human resource department including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Supervises North Star's Operations Manager, I.T. personnel, and janitorial crew leader. Ensures corporate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules. Oversees the maintenance of agency facilities (buildings) and the agency fleet. Also responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of agency technology systems.
Preferred skills, training and qualifications:
A BA in a field related to the position.
Four years progressive combined work experience in office management, building maintenance, fleet management, information technology (IT), and/or project management.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft 365, in addition to other agency software.
