RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the direction & day-to-day supervision of all franchise employees
- Reviews financial statements, sales & activity reports & other performance data to measure productivity & goal achievement & determine areas needing cost reduction & program improvement
- Determines staffing requirements, advertises position, conducts interviews & hires & trains new employees or oversees these processes
- Directs employee scheduling & dispatch of movers & drivers
- Responsible for employee development, accountability & corrective action programs
- Ensures compliance with all DOT regulations & FMCSA guidelines
- Performs customer visits as needed
- Responsible for being the “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours
REQUIREMENTS
- Management or other relevant experience is required
- 100% drug free
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be willing to work Saturdays
- Clean driving record is required
- Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people
- Demonstrate ability to listen and communicate effectively, be helpful and friendly with co-workers, customers, and management
- Ability to assess the performance of self, employees and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action
- Strong decision making ability
- Basic truck/vehicle knowledge required
- Must maintain driver status qualifications with DOT certification and good driving record, must be able to drive all company moving vehicles to include moving trucks
